Human papilloma virus infection (HPV infection) causes papilloma (wart).
There are more than 100 types of human papilloma virus. Different types of HPV infection can cause warts on different parts of the body. For example, some types of HPV infections cause warts on the face and neck, while some are responsible for warts that occur on the genitals.
