    Carpal tunnel syndrome

    Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by the appearance of pressure on the central nerve in the area of ​​the carpal tunnel. It is manifested by pain, reduction of the feeling of fingers and hands, and a feeling of tingling and pricking. The pain intensifies at night. Over time, muscle weakness and muscle atrophy develop.

    In most cases, the cause of this syndrome is unknown. It is known that in a number of cases there is a hereditary component, that it occurs more often after a wrist injury as well as in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, during pregnancy, obesity, menopause and other conditions that lead to swelling of the wrists, tumors and cysts. In the area of ​​the canal, they can cause this disease and it occurs more often in people who put more strain on their hands and wrists every day at work.
